Ladies and Gentlemen of the Golden Tether, you are hereby invited to enjoy our first ever Motion In The Ocean elimination brawl! As you read this notice, construction is underway on a wooden raft that will serve as the ring. That ring will be filled with combatants, tied to the dock, and set adrift! Upon that floating ring, our combatants will struggle to eliminate one another by pushing, tossing, throwing, or otherwise knocking them into the water - a seemingly simple task made truly challenging by treacherous footing, crashing waves, and the chaos of so many combatants brawling at once!
In the end, only ONE will remain - and that stalwart brawler will find themselves not only handsomely rewarded, but flush with bragging rights for having defeated a small army of tough competitors! With the ocean and ring itself serving as a great equalizer, there are no favorites here; anyone could win. Someone will walk away with a mountain of Bragging Rights and Five Hundred Platinum! Will it be you?
Participation is open to ALL! Staff, slaves, and patrons alike. In the case of a slave winning, any prizes will go to their owner.
Participants may not bring weapons into this brawl. They are also strongly cautioned against the wearing of heavy armor, and the Tether bears no responsibility for those competitors who do so and then sink like a stone if/when they are eliminated.
How It Will Work
We will be using a simple dice-based system similar to what is often seen during events like the Drakorian Siege or Everlasting Winter. Before making a post, each participant will roll 1d3. A roll of 1 means you have Lost Ground, a roll of 2 means you have stayed in place, and a roll of 3 means your target has Lost Ground. When a participant has lost ground 5 times, that means they've been pushed all the way to the edge, shoved into the water, and eliminated! Last participant in the ring wins!
Feel free to roleplay things out however you like. Remember that not only will your participant be in the midst of a brawling tangle of arms and legs and tails flying around, but they will be on a raft out in the water! It'll be increasingly slippery, and will often tilt this way or that as waves roll by.
