Nergüi - (owned)

Post by Iseut »

Basic Information

Full Name: Nergüi - "no name" in Mongolian

Nickname: "Nerry"

Name on Identification: Nergüi (pronounced Ner-gee)

Age: 140, looks around her middle twenties

Gender: female

Species: Elf (Qilin ancestry)

Physical appearance

Body Type: Lean and lithe-muscled, sinous with some muscular definition around the upper arms, legs and stomach; not quite dainty, yet certainly not voluptuous either.

Physical Details: 5ft 6'' tall, proportionate in weight. She has black hair that falls to her hips, in loose waves that has a fair few braids woven into it, and two keeping back the most away from those pointed ears and pale brown eyes. Her face is heart-shaped, and her skin a little swarthy indicating a heritage that some might term 'exotic'. Her build is healthy, and her body bears very few scars - none of importance at any rate, although she has a few nicks here or there from childhood rough-housing with her siblings. She has a birthmark in the rough shape of a star on her right shoulder-blade. Signs of her ancestry are evident in the small two-prong golden antlers protruding from her skull and the freckles on her body. She also carries herself in a well-poised and naturally graceful, gentle manner.
I. Hair reference: hip-length with a few braids in, hair worn tucked behind her pointed ears
II. Face reference: her skin is a bit more of a medium tan, and her ears are pointed (she's elvish, fwee)
III. Antlers reference: only, hers are naturally made of gold

Physical Markings:

Physical Drawbacks: right wrist is weaker than her left due to a childhood injury

Current Inflictions: 100%

Physical Defenses: generally she can talk her way out of most situations, although when it comes down to it, she's quick on her feet - in, jab, out sort of fighting style. Even then, that's only in self-defence; she is never offensive by choice.

Appealing Attributes and Attraction: well-mannered if a little too honest at times, a pretty appearance and down-to-earth intelligent bearing. A world-wise woman.

Clothing: thigh-length wool tunic (ignore embroidery in the ref image, sleeves almost cover her hands, length is accurate), embossed leather belt, soft leather boots that come up to her upper calves, leather bracers with build-in magical suppresants to match those on the plain leather collar (also embossed with a plain metal plaque) on her neck. Former outfit resembled these robes although with colour differences: black fur, black base colour instead of dark green, medium grey instead of pale green, orange instead of red, tan instead of gold. The beads on the headress are earthy-coloured. She also wears boots; the shape and style of these, yet with the black fur placed on them in this style.

Other Items on Person: small leather satchel which contains basic medical equipment and a few simple herbal remedies and portable supplies within various vials. Equipment includes needle, thread, roll of gauze, tweezers, bone comb, antler-handled scalpel.

How do they present themselves: self-assured, if due to the circumstances, a little shaken

Feelings towards being owned/rented: tolerant, and yet, confused - disorientated to a degree

Overall Attitude: modest and gentle, she has probably not got a single intentionally mean or nasty bone in her body. She is a good conversationalist, and an intelligent woman despite her upbringing being perhaps 'savage' from some perspectives. She is also highly spiritual, and holds a deep respect for nature and it's inhabitants.

Quirks: prone to humming to pass the time, or braiding her hair

Hobbies/Interests: wood-carving (small trinkets), jewellry-making / herbal-based healing, magic-based healing, other magic users or specialisations, other 'primitive' cultures like the one she came from, shamanism

*1: Old Magic explaination from my alt's site
Rooted in paganism. Each living thing has a certain magical 'resonance'. a magic-user can tap into this resonance freely; this is where mage specialisations often tie in, as some are inborn with the ability to tap into certain resonances more than others. The gods/goddesses are often far more interactive with mortals, often in liminal 'midway' places in the world. Old Magic is often described as 'wild', by people who use it. Old Magic users are, in a sense, potentially more powerful than their New counterparts, because they are often far more connected to the world around them as a result of their upbringing and style of training. But to counter-balance, New Magic is spreading far faster, and eradicating away the liminal places where the Old style is at its height. Old and New magic-users can interact with each other quite freely, can cast identical spells, and reach the same level of prowess with the Aether. The only difference is the mind of the magic-caster.
