With the icy winter beast dead, the Tether is returning back to it's naturally hot climate. The following morning saw temperatures back in the positives, and the next few days would return it to seasonal averages. But an awkwardly early spring did not bring only good... Although the danger of the mage, dragon and bitter cold had passed- there are more dangers emerging. Thankfully a little less of the magical sort.
This post is here to keep you up to date on all of the current news and events regarding the end of The Everlasting Winter.

Patrons and slaves would wake to warm, balmy temperatures. The island was warming up at an incredible rate, and the degrees were back in the positives. The residents of the Tether would wake to icy water. In fact, there was water everywhere. Seeping in from every crack and crevice of the establishment. There was little place for this melt water to go, as the docks and surrounding ocean would remain frozen for at least a day or two longer- it began to rise. Nearly a foot of water covered the main hall, and the arena was little more than a freezing swimming pool. The water was muddy. Dirty and unpleasant. The rocks and dirt that had covered the Tether with the avalanche were now seeping like mud through the ceiling.

As the wildlife populations on the island have been decimated by the winter, there is to be no hunting or gathering whatsoever. Any sapient creature found in possession of any of the Island's natural wildlife resources will be heavily fined and jailed. This law will be in effect until the natural populations of the island are stable once more.
Also, the Tether apologies for the fact the sewer water has leaked into the Atrium. Cleanup efforts are well underway, but there is little to be done until the snow has all melted.
The ice on the docks has broken and is very quickly receding- however it is still another day or so before use of the waters is safe once more.

The ice keeping the docks closed has all but disappeared. The few remaining chunks should have melted by evening. Travel is once more available to and from the island. Merchants of all varieties are being contacted in regards to resupplying the Tether. There has been much damage, and basic supplies are in high demand. Food is particularly scarce, and prices of food and drink from the Tether's kitchens have hugely increased.
The flooding has receded significantly, though an inch or so of water is still expected to remain in the main hall for a few days longer. The majority of the island is particularly soggy and boggy. Clean up efforts are well under way.
Slaves are tasked with mopping, scrubbing, sweeping and washing. Fabrics have been ruined, as well as furniture. Those with any wood working skill are also being made to help rebuild furniture.
