Bash at the Beach (Patron Event)

As the sun begins to set over the waters around Guildereim, the sands cool but passions flare. It's time to settle old scores and start new rivalries; 8 men enter, 1 leaves -- crowned as champion for the year. Honor and glory, skill and technique. Do you have what it takes to survive the Bash at the Beach?

What is it?

An 8-man, free-for-all, hand-to-hand fighting event to crown a champion (and earn a prize)! The event is being sponsored by Crowling (official moderator) and headed by Sunstreak (emcee and judge).

Where is it?

The *beach, a special area will be cornered off for seating and a circle "ring" in the center where the battle will take place.

When is it?

May 28th at 5pm FST.

Who can join?

Any character, slave, patron or staff that has stats entered into the TGT Aspects system for arena combat. There will be 8 initial slots available with over flow for those who for some reason drop out at the last minute. This will be done on a first come, first serve basis. Accepting all levels of fighters, but only ONE per person -- no filling it up with alts. Slaves must be sponsored by either the house or an owner.

Anyone wishing to watch is invited, and there will be house slaves present to attend to needs. Guards will also be on duty to ensure fights are kept in the ring and remove anyone disqualified or too injured to continue.

The Rules!

1. Most of the standard arena rules apply with some minor differences for an event of this type. All of the general rules of TGT apply to this event.

2. Posts will be limited to one block of text ONLY. Work with the room you have. Failure to adhere will result in a DQ and you will be removed from the ring.

3. This is a no weapons/no armor event. This is hand to hand only, in your loin cloth. Exceptions made for natural armor of +1. Anyone above this limit will not be allowed to participate, we are trying to level the playing field here. Natural weapons such as claws and teeth will be covered with blunted tips or muzzles.

4. There will be no double attacks or disarms.

5. Every round (after all posts are made), a new initiative will be rolled to keep things hectic and mix them up. It will be the job of Sunstreak to keep track of this. Posting out of turn results in an immediate DQ.

6. If a natural Severity roll of 17 (before bonuses) or higher is made in an attack, the defender is knocked out of the sand arena and is considered out of the battle (a loss).

7. Typically there is a rule of no ganging up on another, but this rule will be voided for this unique event. If you are a big, mean bad ass known for ruling the arena, then don't be surprised to find a few people taking sides to eliminate you. Alliances WILL be made, but in the end there can only be one victor.

8. We ask the audience in attendance to please avoid posting while the actual fighting is happening. Respect the fighters and help us make this run as smooth as possible.

9. Respect those participating and in attendance. You are battling for the right to represent the Golden Tether as an official champion for one year. This is not a contest for the ego, but respect of combat and your peers. All are equal in the ring.

The Prizes!

The winner will be crowned champion of the Bash at the Beach for one year, and IC will receive the above belt as a reward. They will also get a free, full-body art piece as donated by ~meenah. The runner-up will receive a port drawn by her.
