FORTUNATE ESCAPES FROM SHIPWRECK--
THE ARKLOW, BLACKWATER & LAUREL.

During the last week several sea-worthy furres had a hairbreadth escape from what they explained to be ‘Chaos running amok’ on their fine cargo vessels, “It was like they knew what they were doing, coming all sneaky like..” said one of the sailors. The Captains whom neither did survive had given the crew, earlier that-day, permission to go on the mainland as a reward for all their hard work and received word that they will be returning to Kasuria with new cargo and possible profits the following morning. This meant that a skeleton crew remained to guard over the vessels and their cargo throughout the day.

One of the surviving crew member, which had been on THE ARKLOW, explained that the attackers sneaked onto their ship mid-day, “It just stood there, staring at us! On the upper deck! I didn't see anyone else as it charged right at us!” – “The eyes, I just remember the eyes.” Said another survivor. They described a tall hyooman dressed in clothing uncommon for this part of the world, carrying a sword unfamiliar to these sea-furres. The cargo ship The ARKLOW, bound to The Golden Tether, was during this bloody raid set afire and left stranded on the banks on the Island just North of The Golden Tether. The fire consumed the ship well into the afternoon and remains as a skeleton of burned wood to-day. According to few of the remaining crew members it serves as a horrific reminder as to how far some hyoomans would go.

The vessels BLACKWATER, wrecked on the bank, struck violently and was miraculously preserved by being lifted with a tremendous surf over the bank without loss of rudder; had they drawn a few feet more water they would never have come off except in atoms. The LAUREL, loss of its cargo, struck the bank and was equally fortunate in her preservation without damage, although the sailor assured the writer, hope had almost vanished. It is not known to what extent the company has suffered, or whether they will be in a position to recover from such a severe blow to their trade.
DON'T GO WHERE THE PATH MAY LEAD YOU, GO INSTEAD WHERE THERE IS NO PATH AND LEAVE A TRAIL.
